How I Study For Exams!

Hello and welcome back to Study With Me! In today's post, I am gonna be telling on how I study for exams. I will giving my methods through a Q&A session, so that you will be more clear with me 😁. So, without further ado, let's get started!

Q1. How do you study for exams?

Ans: Hmm...I follow different methods to study, and I will phrase them to you in days.

Couple of days before the exam

a) I read the textbook.

b) I watch videos related to the concept on YouTube or other learning platforms.

c) I make my own questions and answers.

d) I take notes.

e) I create mind maps.

The day before the exam

a) I revise the topics thoroughly.

b) I solve worksheets provided by the school.

On the exam day

a) I wake up 2 hours earlier (eg, if my exam is on 8AM, I will wake up at 6AM).

b) I start to do some light revision (DO NOT LEARN ANYTHING NEW).

c) I get the necessary materials required for the exam.

d) I complete it and wait for the results!

Q2. When is your revision time and how do you follow it?

Ans: Basically, my revision time is on 6PM-8PM. Note that I take breaks in between. On 6 PM, I study a topic or two then at half past 6, I do a quick revision. From 6:40 PM and 7:00 PM, I take a break, but I do not watch T.V during this time. The same applies from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

Q3. Can you recommend some apps which helped you study?

Ans: Sure, I will recommend 5 apps.

1. Khan Academy - The best learning app when it comes for practicing Math, Science, English and many more.

2. Forest - This app helps in focusing on your studies. Forest prevents you from entering other apps, which will decrease your focus.

3. MindMeister - IMO, this is seriously the best app in making mind maps! This app has different styles in which you can make mind maps. Try it out when you have time!

4. Quizizz - Quizizz helps you to learn by quizzing yourself. Check it out!

5. Quizlet - This app helps you to learn by making flashcards. Even Quizizz helps you to learn through flashcards, but according to my experience I prefer Quizlet more than Quizizz in this case 😅.
