Learning from Books

We all know what learning from books look like. You take your textbook or any other book which is relevant, and start learning from it. But many people assume that the Internet has more advantages than reading books and still think that the Internet is much faster than reading books. But do you know that books are more credible than internet because even though the process of reading is slow compared to the Internet, it helps you to remember the content more. The book content stays for a long period of time while you might have the internet content changing every hour.
We have a lot of advantages of learning from books. Some of them are listed below.
1. As I said above, books are reliable sources.
2. You can mark important points on any page of the book
3. Easier to take notes
4. More relevant information available
While there are many advantages of learning from books, there are some disadvantages as well. Now don't get me wrong, books are more reliable and relevant, but there are some demerits too. Let's look at some of the drawbacks.
1. Chances of the books tearing are high
2. Some books might be heavy
I only found two problems but I find that reading books is an excellent method to study. Let's look at the next category.
Learning from the Web

As we all know, technology has taken over most of the world. Nowadays people can't even live with it. These days, everything is accessible online and education is therefore one of the most prominent on the Internet as well. Online studies can be done through textual content or video lectures that are comparable to books and lectures in the classroom.
Take a look at some advantages of learning from the internet
1. The Internet has video lectures and online PDFs of textbooks
2. It saves time
3. Lots of educational sites (for example, this blog) are easily available.
Many researches have shown that a student learn better from textbooks than from the Internet. That also explains why the learning from the web has a lot of disadvantages. Let's look at some of the drawbacks of online learning.
1. Causes a lot of strain to your eyes
2. Not easy to take notes
3. Difficult to find relevant information
4. Technical issues may occur
Now, let's choose the method which works best for you.
Which works the best for you?
A lot of research has been done on this and concluded that reading is far more better than just learning from the web.
Students who love to read and research are most likely to do study from books whereas students who are stuck to technology are often used to the method of studying online. But in my opinion, the combination of books and the internet is the best way to learn. You can study from books to use as a reference and you can use the Internet to research more on the topic.
Well, opinion matters. So, it's your turn now. Which one works best for you - Learning from Books or Learning from the Internet? Let me know in the comments section below. If you have any queries or suggestions, feel free to contact me at studyholicblogs@gmail.com
